My inspiration when I cook comes from many places. Sometimes when I am doing something as mundane as slicing sugar snap peas, I marvel at the color and freshness of the peas I just purchased at the farmers market. The watermelon radishes that I slice thinly on a mandolins is stunning with its natural design....perfect! The sugary taste of beautiful heirloom tomatoes at their peak during the summer; the fresh smell of basil. I love fresh arugula with the bit of natural spiciness. 📷📷When I bring all these treasures home I just think to compose it into a beautiful fresh salad not adding much more than good virgin olive oil, sprinkle of sea salt, cracked pepper and a tangy vinegar of choice. Can't you just taste the last bits of summer?
